For us, freedom from the ropes in Rumba's story allows people to find new paths to change. The first line approach often falls into four parts. Those four parts are:
First: Make long accepted ideas and beliefs more obvious as they tend to become less visible with a lot of use.
Second: Test beliefs and ideas for accuracy.
Third: Use Cognitive Techniques to challenge and update unhelpful ideas and beliefs.
Fourth: Test adapted ideas and beliefs through behavioral homework, then assess and alter as necessary.
