Frequently Asked Questions

...and hopefully some generally helpful answers.

About Balance Better…

How long have you been open?

We have been here at the “Sancktch” since March 2022!

What sorts of clients do you see?

We see individuals of almost any age, couples, and families with a wide variety of strengths and struggles.

There are some concerns for which others are much better equipped and if those are a concern, we will certainly contact you to discuss those situations before meeting the first time.

Very young children (8 & under) will nearly always be addressed through their families in our office. We will certainly meet with the kiddos when it makes sense but find the most success is the result of “round the clock” implementation of tools by those most vested in change. That’s almost never the kid.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! If you have any questions about your insurance, give us a call or shoot us an email.

What if I don't have insurance?

We happily see self-paying clients on a sliding scale. We have always been proud of being useful over being rich. We are a business and are certainly here to turn a buck, but are invested in maintaining balance ourselves, and this is a place where we can.

Be sure to reach out before deciding you should remain miserable entirely because of $$$!

Do you meet in the office or meet virtually?

We will employ any means legal and ethical to be of use to our clients. If I’m being honest I much prefer to meet people face to face but have certainly grown more comfortable with the electronic office.

Our client portal is equipped with a fully compliant way to meet virtually if that works better for some people in the world today.

How are sessions scheduled?

Sessions vary from 30 – 50 minutes depending on the plan and goals and can be scheduled online through the portal at https://www.therapynotes.com

Frequency of sessions relies much more on plans and goals than a regular weekly time. Those decisions are made collaboratively between you and your counselor.
